National Learn to Row Day

Learn to Row Day was Saturday June 3, 2023 7:30-11am

Learn to row day is a day that anyone can get into a 60' long racing shell and learn to handle the 12' oars. On land we will teach you about the rowing stroke, introduce you to the boat with it's sliding seat and then you'll help power the boat for about 2 kilometers (a little over a mile). Most everyone comes out of the boat with a smile. It's a chance to try rowing with no commitment. You'll be able to sign up for lessons that day if desired.

"National Learn to Row Day".

This year's date was Saturday, June 3, 2023  7:30 am to 11:00 am. We board the boat in the water so wear water shoes and no loose clothing.

Last year we had a large turnout and we are hoping for the same this year. Our open house is from 7:30AM to 11:00 at the boatyard in Indian Mound Park, 210 Winson Ave, Englewood, FL.

No invite or RSVP, just show up to see what rowing can offer you. National Learn to Row Day is always the first Saturday of June. The day is set as a national awareness for learning to row. Clubs all over the United States participate on this day because of the national recognition it receives
