Lemon Bay Crew Club sustained devastating destruction from Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton in the fall of 2024. The boatyard and everything in it were a complete loss. In the last six months, with the generous support of members and donors, we are happy to report that we once again have a secure boatyard, new storage racks, and, most importantly, shells and sculls that allow us to finally get back on the water.
We remain immensely grateful to the many donors who have contributed to us. Our fundraising pages remain active, allowing us to continue with the next phases of building. We are hopeful that we can acquire a sunshade to protect our boatyard and install a permanent oar storage system.
Masters Coaching, a national rowing organization, through its founder, Mayrene Earle, set up a GoFundMe page immediately after the hurricanes to support our rebuilding efforts. Masters Coaching has been holding winter rowing clinics at Lemon Bay since 2006, and they hope to return in the winter of 2026.
